Who Do You Follow? Many claim to follow God, while in reality they are ultimately following man. I had found myself going to church, hearing the sermon, and then going back home to study on my own, only to discover that what I was reading in God's Word was different than what I had heard in church. Some people find it hard to study the scriptures, but with prayer and research, it can be done. I had to seek the truth for myself because I wanted to make sure I was not being deceived. The Bible says in Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: If you notice the scripture says the whole world and not just part of it. Satan has influenced every aspect of society, every church, every denomination, and everything in this world. If you think you have not been deceived, then you really need to study God's word. The scriptures also say in 2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Several years ago my Heavenly Father gave me a verse from scripture that changed my life. That verse was Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in God than to put confidence in man.
